Deep In Thought 16x16

Something a little different from me. I have been working on figures for while now and I am going to try and start posting some of these from time to time. I goal is to really focus on the figure over this summer along with my landscapes. I like doing the dark moody tonal thing with these, keeps them romantic and mysterious. This one is 16x16 in oils on board with a very limited palette of three colors plus white.

Thanks Sonia. I am trying to really work these for a while and get them dialed in. I want to try some larger sizes soon.

Kathrine, I like this earthtone palette as well. I am trying to keep these very neutral without going too flat color wise. The blog name is because of some gallery issues right I am going through now. I knot it sounds weird but I can't really say more on it here.

Love the limited palette. Mysterious, calm, not overly seductive. Bravo!

B, thanks for the comments. I am trying to stick with the limited palette on the figures. I think it helps with the mood and I can control the lights and darks better while I learn the figure. This one was only three colors plus white.
